English burr walnut cabinet on bog oak legs with
holly interior. bog oak and burr walnut tray sits on top of the cabinet and can
be lifted off for serving drinks. Holly interior gives a luxurious golden
warmth when opening, a curved shelf allows for storage, this can be flipped
over if desired.
Photographed with six porcelain beakers from potter Chris Keenan. The burr
walnut cube is polished to a high gloss and the bog oak to a lower
lustre/sheen, the intention was to create a dialog between materials allowing
the cube to 'shine'.
"I make furniture with uncompromising quality and refined craftsmanship.
I create understated work with restrained detailing, that shows off the natural beauty of native wood and an honest integrity in making.
My work is intended to sit in harmony within a room, adding to the overall feel, and yet having a depth of detail that fascinates and gives pleasure for many years. I work exclusively with British timbers and in collaboration with other makers across craft disciplines including metal, ceramic and textile weaving"..
