These pieces are part of a series called ‘Trials’ which began during a residency with the British Ceramics Biennial in 2021, it is an exploration of form in thrown porcelain. I think of each piece as a sketch in clay, capturing a moment or idea and whilst I revisit some forms each piece is unique. The vessels are thrown in sections before being attached and turned with the marks from turning left visible. The glaze are my own recipes, and this collection includes two new colours.
