French Oak and English Ash. This is a wide, low, comfortable chair - made for relaxing not dining. It's of 'Windsor' construction - ie the legs and spindles fit into the solid seat. The seat is made and cut to shape, then cut into three, angled, and re-assembled to form a gentle hollow.
