The Great Pottery Throw Down 2020 winner Rosa Wiland Holmes will be showcasing her contemporary ceramics at Collect.
Running from 3 - 5 March 2023 (Previews 1-2 March), and marking its 19th edition, COLLECT is an exceptional opportunity to acquire new, museum-quality work from living artists internationally. With its historic and beautiful Grade I listed architecture, Somerset House provides a stunning backdrop for displaying contemporary craft in fully immersive interiors setting.
Rosa Wiland Holmes grew up on the beautiful island of Bornholm in Denmark.
Rosa was always inspired by the beauty of nature on the island.
Starting out as a Fashion designer, she discovered ceramics seven years ago and has been obsessed ever since. The potential provided by the interaction of clay, oxides and glaze fascinates Rosa and nature provides balance and inspires all of Rosa’s work.
Rosa uses different clay to get the effects she looks for in each piece.
Inspired by nature, Rosa seeks to capture its beauty in her all work. Trying to create outstanding works of art which draw you in to explore shapes, texture and colours. Above all she seeks to communicate her passion for the medium and the landscape that has inspired her.
