CAA Member Michèle Oberdieck's solo exhibition Fantasy Plants is available to view for another two weeks at Vessel Gallery in Kensington. The exhibition showcases the fluid, organic shapes of her glass pieces, which draw on the natural world to explore the interaction between light and shadow, colour and shape through the manipulation of glass. Her works revel in the inherent qualities of the material, often using the Graal technique, which creates fluid incisions which cut through the glass's opacity and allow light to shine through them. Using hand-blown glass, her organically shaped vessels contract and expand, appearing to grow into their own organic, assymetric shapes.
