Discover the potential of clay and get inspired by nature with ceramicist Hanna Salomonsson for London Craft Week 2024.
Join us on Saturday 18th May 2024 at 2pm at Contemporary Applied Arts for a relaxed afternoon workshop where you can unleash your artistic side.
During this hands-on event, you will learn how to sculpt delicate floral sculptures using paper clay. No prior experience is necessary, just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to learn! The durability of grogged paper clay means that the workshop is ideal for beginners, but those more experienced with ceramics will enjoy the opportunity to work with a new type of clay body.
Hanna will guide you through the whole ceramics process, providing tips and tricks on working with clay and helping you create stunning pieces of art that you can enjoy for years to come.
After the workshop, your pieces will be glazed and fired at a specialist ceramics studio's kiln and ready for you to collect approximately four weeks after the workshop.
This event is open to adults and children aged 8 years and older, but please note that all children must be accompanied by an adult.
