Shipping and Delivery

Prices on the website exclude shipping and delivery. Delivery prices for most items are available during check out via the drop down menus.

If no delivery charge stated, the gallery will contact you to confirm shipping and delivery details and take a separate payment for the associated costs if applicable. This will be clearly stated during check out.

 

Each purchase from CAA is unique, for this reason we professionally wrap each item. Delivery charges are calculated on the basis of weight, size and monetary value of the items. The most economical way of shipping will be chosen to ensure the safe delivery of CAA items, which often require specialist packaging. For large scale work and international deliveries we use a selection of trusted shippers. The price of shipping can fluctuate due to changes in taxation and currency values.

 

We aim to deliver as quickly as possible, especially if something is needed as a gift. When placing an order, please bear in mind that delivery times are estimates and postal and courier services may encounter delays that are beyond our control.

 

Unfortunately we cannot fulfil any obligations if the product you ordered becomes out of stock, if we are unable to obtain authorisation for your payment, or if we identify a pricing or product description error.

 

Deliveries within central London zones 1-2

Same day deliveries are possible on a wide range of items, for further information please contact the gallery directly on: 020 7620 0086.

 

Same day and next day deliveries are subject to availability and only on working days.

 

We use Addison Lee for same day and next day deliveries.

 

Customers are welcome to arrange their own courier to collect items during business hours. In doing so, the customer accepts all costs and any liability involved in hiring this third party service.

 

Mainland UK (Excluding Jersey & The Channel Islands)

 

Standard (3-5 working days): We deliver to mainland UK, Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man as part of our domestic shipping service. The Channel Islands are charged at international rates. Please note that, unfortunately, we are unable to deliver to PO or BFPO boxes.

The prices given above are the minimum charge for delivery Monday – Friday.

 

International Shipping

 

To arrange international shipping a member of the CAA team will contact you directly. For international deliveries we use a selection of trusted shippers and will consult with you to find the best shipping solution to meet your needs. Costs vary depending on location, packing requirements and speed of delivery.

 

Customers are welcome to make their own courier collection arrangements within CAA business hours. In doing so, clients accept all costs and liabilities in hiring a third party service.

 

International orders are not duty paid and may incur additional charges once the parcel reaches its destination country. Customs or import duties are charged once a package reaches its destination country. These are compulsory charges which must be paid by the client. These charges are not within our control and there is no way to estimate what they might be. Globally, customs policies and import duties vary. You may wish to contact your local customs office for current charges before placing your order to avoid unexpected charges. CAA reserves the right to refund transactions minus all costs incurred on returns.

 

Larger items including furniture

 

To arrange delivery of furniture and other large items a member of the CAA team will contact you directly. For national and international deliveries we use a selection of trusted shippers and will consult with you to find the best shipping solution to meet your needs. Costs vary depending on location, packing requirements and speed of delivery.

Collect from gallery (1-2 working days):

 

Contemporary Applied Arts offers a free collection service from the gallery in Marylebone, London on most items. Orders placed for collection will be confirmed by a member of the team by email and will usually be available within 1-2 working days. Please bring a copy of your purchase confirmation as proof of purchase when collecting. Orders placed for collection will be kept in the gallery for up to 14 days. If you are unable to collect your order within this timeframe, please contact the gallery to arrange delivery. If the item has not been collected after 14 days and, despite our reasonable efforts, we are unable to contact you to re-arrange delivery, we reserve the right to cancel your order and issue a refund.

 

Returns and Exchanges

 

We understand that if you are buying a gift for someone you may not always get it right. If that happens, or if you change your mind for any other reason, you may wish to return an item bought on our website and seek a refund. In this case, you need to let us know in writing no longer than 14 days after the date on which you received the products. Please contact the gallery by emailing info@caa.org.uk with your contact and order details. You will then be contacted with instructions on how to proceed with the return. We ask that the item is returned in perfect condition, in its original packaging within 14 working days from the date the return was arranged. The cost of any undamaged and unworn (if applicable) items, correctly returned, will be credited to the original purchaser’s credit or debit card. Any shipping charges will not be refunded. International custom duties and sales taxes are non-refundable for shipments outside the UK.

 

If you return goods to us, we recommend you use a special delivery service for your own protection. Please use an insured method of dispatch and obtain proof of posting. We cannot accept responsibility for postage fees or for any items damaged, lost or stolen in transit.

 

Items seen and bought in the CAA Gallery, 6 Paddington Street, London W1U 5QG, may be returned in perfect condition within 14 days of the original transaction date. Christmas 2024: Items bought in December 2024 may be returned until 12 January 2025.  CAA does not offer refunds against items bought in the gallery but these items may be exchanged or a credit note issued, which will be valid for 1 year from the date of issue.

 

Commissioned items

Please note that the right to cancel and return for a refund does not apply to items made to order or commissioned. In this case returns are not possible.
